Today I was looking for something else entirely when I found a button that allows me to turn chat on for Accidents and Incidents. Substack say it is kind of like a group chat or live hangouts. I’m supposed to post “short thoughts” and then you can reply and we can discuss.
It only works with the Substack app so you won’t get inundated with emails. That does mean you have to install the app to use it, which yes, I know it is yet another app to add to your phone. I promise you that everything important will be in the newsletter, so if you don’t get the app, you won’t miss anything substantial.
But if you already have the app or feel like joining to help me work out what the heck this thing is good for, then here are the instructions.
How to get started
Download the app by clicking this link or the button below. Substack Chat is now available on both iOS and Android.
Open the app and tap the Chat icon. It looks like two bubbles in the bottom bar, and you’ll see a row for my chat inside.
That’s it! Jump into my thread to say hi, and if you have any issues, check out Substack’s FAQ.
